AA

The A.A. Group

…Where it all begins

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.

The Hephzibah A.A. Group was established at the Hephzibah United Methodist Church in 1990 and has met here every Friday since, at 8:00P.M.  We are also now meeting on Tuesdays at 7:00PM.

We know you have all heard of the very successful 12-step program. Bill W. and Dr. Bob S., the co-founders of A.A, developed this program in 1937 and it has stood the test of time and been copied by other groups all over the world.

A.A. has but one primary purpose---to carry its message to the alcoholic that still suffers.

The Hephzibah group has another purpose---

We are responsible…when anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help; we want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that, we are responsible.
