July and August “Undie and School Supplies Sundays: Please bring packages of small size “undie” or if you cannot ship, please give you money to Marci and she will shop for you.  If you have any question, see Marci.  Also bring school supplies: paper, glue, pencils, etc. for children who need supplies.  See Ellen, if you cannot shop, give your money to her and she will shop for you.  Thank you for your extravagant generosity.

We Teach Bible to Public School Children … And we need You!  Release Time Christian Education is working with the public school children in Augusta.  We each one-a-week Bible classes to 4^th and 5^th grade students to area schools, one of which is hosted by your church, Hephzibah UMC.  We are currently in need of volunteers to support our newest school, Terrace Manor Elementary. The 2009/2010 school year was a huge success.  Come help next year be even better.

Fall Basic Lay Speaker Training September 11 and 18, 9 AM til 4 PM at Greensboro First UMC.  Both sessions must be completed.  Please see Pastor T.G. before September 8^th to register.

Leadership UMC The purpose of LEADERSHIP UMC is to identify and train emerging laity leadership from throughout the annual conference and to prepare these persons for participation in the leadership of the local church, district and conference. The school begins with a series of training events and workshops for approved participants.  Please see Pastor T.G. for an application.  Applications are due by September 1^st.
