August Urban Ministries: Do you have “gently used” household items in good condition that you’d like to donate?  AUM has a shortage of pots and pans, all types of beds (except king size), sofa, recliners, all appliances (except built in appliances).  Please call AUM at 706-722-8195 for pick up – Monday to Friday.

July and August “Undie and School Supplies Sundays: Please bring packages of small size “undie” or if you cannot ship, please give you money to Marci and she will shop for you.  If you have any question, see Marci.  Also bring school supplies: paper, glue, pencils, etc. for children who need supplies.  See Ellen, if you cannot shop, give your money to her and she will shop for you.  Thank you for your extravagant generosity.

We Teach Bible to Public School Children … And we need You!  Release Time Christian Education is working with the public school children in Augusta.  We each one-a-week Bible classes to 4th and 5th grade students to area schools, one of which is hosted by your church, Hephzibah UMC.  We are currently in need of volunteers to support our newest school, Terrace Manor Elementary. The 2009/2010 school year was a huge success.  Come help next year be even better.

Volunteer Training – July 17th or Augusta 21st

8 am – 12:30 at Martinez UMC

Christian Education Sunday

Join us Augusta 8th for our Sunday School celebration.  Help us make the day special by bringing a new friend with you to Sunday School.  Let’s pack out every class! Then we’ll come together to worship God and to give thanks for our wonderful Sunday School Teachers.  We’ll also recognize children moving up in grade to take their place in their new Sunday School Class.  Then our celebration will continue after the service with a church- wide back to school luncheon to be held in the Family Life Center.   

Bible Study  You are invited - Tuesday August 10th, at 10 AM in the Christian Education Center. We will continue our study of 1 John.
